Exciting whitewater action awaits as you hear the roar of “The Mother” rapids. Paddling through “Squeeze”, “Pinball”, and “Toilet” rapids your heart will be pumping before heading through the 170m tunnel and the “Cascade” rapid. No experience necessary just a sense of adventure.

Session Length

* This product is available on 7 days a week * Trips depart 8.15am and 1.15pm daily * Total trip takes approx 4 hours * Depending on water conditions, 1.5 - 2 hours on the water * Rafting only is available summer only* ie October – May inclusive. .

Guidelines:

No pregnant women, Back problems not recommended. Water confidence is required. Minimum age is 13 years old.

Numbers:

One experienced raft guide per 7 clients.

Spectators:

Not suitable for spectators although there is a café at the rafting base so viewing of the last rapid is possible.

Weather:

Due to constantly changing river conditions, it is advisable to contact the rafting company 24 hours before to check river conditions and your booking.

Suitability Information:

River conditions would determine if suitable on the day.

    Loved the rafting. Wish there was a bit more rapids but for a first timer it was great. (We were able to transfer the booking to the Kawarau River) but I have been told the Shotover has a lot more rapids so that would be a bit funner i think :-)
