Calling all white water rafting enthusiasts? Come to Rotorua and participate in some extreme sports action. Our experience offers a blend of adrenalin and culture. Raft the Kaituna with world class guides, snake through bush clad canyons and plunge down the seven metre Tutea falls!

We will collect you from your accommodation in Rotorua and transport you to our office, which is nestled beside Hells Gate and Wai Ora Spa and Wellness Centre for your white water rafting experience.

From there, we get you clad in all the necessary equipment so that we can make your experience safe and more enjoyable. We will then take you out to the river where we go though land based training. Once you’ve mastered all the techniques on the land we head onto the water for further schooling.

Your guides are there to give you full instructions on your activity and to facilitate your experience of a lifetime! Adventure, fun, history and adrenalin overload!!

You will leave Rotorua with a greater understanding of the Maori culture and a greater knowledge and appreciation of the natural environment, whilst at the same time having unforgettable day. Upon completion of the activity we will return to Rotorua.

Total duration of this experience is three hours.

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Venue:

Hells Gate at Tikitere, Rotorua.

Session Length

This experience operates daily. The rafting experience is a three hour round trip. Trips operate from Rotorua and return upon completion of the experience. Start times 9.00, 12.30pm and 2.30pm in Winter and 3.30pm in the Summer.

Guidelines:

For safety reasons, you must be over thirteen years of age to participate in this experience.

Numbers:

Each raft holds six people plus two guides.

Spectators:

Rafting is set up for spectators to watch.

Weather:

The experience is not affected by the weather, unless there is extensive rainfall, in which case the river will be closed. This is highly unusual and only occurs on rare occasions.

Other Info:

All our guides are of the highest calibre and all hold NZQA qualifications, coupled with extensive overseas experience.

    It was a great experience, I loved white water rafting! Would do it again for sure! The people were really nice and helpful. Great Christmas present for me :)
