Hit the road to chase some of the best breaks in NZ heading to some of the most spectacular surf spots in Auckland and surrounds for this learn to surf experience! This is pure fun at the beach where you can learn to surf, hone your surfing skills, body board, jump waterfalls and play beach games.

On this tour you will learn the fundamentals of surfing, surf safety, and you will be standing up in no time. You will also gain a better understanding of 'soul surfing' where you get to appreciate and respect your environment and the people around you.

Included in the day is a 1.5 hour surf lesson where the instructor works closely with you to achieve the ultimate goal of standing up.

After the surf lesson stop for lunch, which you can either bring yourself or purchase on the way. Once lunch is complete and depending on our location we check out one of the many waterfalls in the area.

One particular waterfall has a 10 meter jump and if you're up for it you can take on the challenge. This is a great way to wash the sand away.

After the water jump its back in the van and on the way home we can stop off for a beer to quench your thirst and break up the journey. This is a great way to relax and reflect on the day that was had with you new surfing buddies.

Session Length

The last pickup is at 10am from your central city accommodation and the last drop of by 6pm back to your accommodation. Included in the day is 1.5 hour surf lesson. Seven to eight hours of energy needed! Our season runs from October to June and this tour runs seven days a week.

Guidelines:

Minimum age 18. Must be able to swim and have a moderate level of fitness.

Numbers:

We operate with 1-6 people on the day.

Weather:

On the very odd occasion we do have to cancel due to surf conditions. If it's raining this is not a factor because you are going to get wet anyway.

Other Info:

Beverages will be supplied. You can bring your own lunch or we can make a lunch stop. All the instructors are qualified surf instructors and have their Surf NZ endorsements.
