It's a thrilling ride - skimming past rocky outcrops at close range in our jet boats as you twist and turn through the narrow canyons at breath-taking speeds.

Hold on tight as the driver takes you through a series of extreme manoeuvres, including the world-famous 360-degree spins!

The part of the Shotover River in which we operate is situated less then 10 minutes' drive from the centre of Queenstown and consists primarily of steep canyon walls, divided by the fast flowing river. The canyons have been carved over thousands of years by billions of tonnes of glacial water from the heart of the Southern Alps. The very grandeur of the river provides an element of excitement.

There are two sets of canyons on the lower Shotover River and we are the only company permitted to operate in these spectacular canyons, giving you a truly unique experience.

Since 1970 over two million passengers have been thrilled by this jet boat ride. Now it's your turn!

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Session Length

This experience is available seven days a week, all year round, from 8am - 5pm, excluding Christmas Day. Boats depart every 15 minutes. Bookings are essential and are subject to availability. You should allow approximately 90 minutes for the entire experience.

Guidelines:

Children under 4 are free of charge and must be accompanied by a paying adult. Min child height 1 metre.Shotover Jet reserves the right to extend to 1.2 metres to ensure safety. This experience may not be suitable for pregnant women or people with medical conditions, including neck or back problems

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. We have two boats and each boat carries a maximum of 14 passengers.

Spectators:

Spectators may make use of our on-site facilities - licensed cafe, retail shop, toilets and outdoor viewing areas.

Weather:

This experience may be affected by the weather. In the case of poor weather conditions we may reschedule your experience for a later date.

A specialised photographer will capture your experience and photos are available for purchase on the day. Alternatively, you may bring you own small camera, at your own risk. Jet reserves the right to extend to 1.2 metr
