This Sunday Family Brunch Cruise is the perfect experience for 2 adults and up to 4 kids! Brunch is a full breakfast, with hot food, croissants, fruit platters toast and tea or coffee. Enjoy great food, see the mountains of the volcanic plateau and watch in awe as Maori rock carvings come into view.

The brunch includes a two-hour scenic cruise departing from the Taupo Boat Harbour. Upon your arrival at our booking office the staff will direct you to the launch. You should be ready to board approximately 10 minutes prior to departure time.

You will smell the fresh coffee brewing as you board and cruise around the bays to the Maori Rock Carvings. Breakfast includes a fully-cooking English-style breakfast, with a fruit platter, toast and croissants served with tea or coffee. There is also a bar where you can purchase cold drinks while you enjoy fabulous 360° views of secluded bays and the spectacular snow-covered mountains.

Your cruise includes an interesting commentary on local and Maori history and information on the trout fishery. You'll receive a printed sheet covering this information with a Fun Page on the back for the children. The children may also be able to feed the ducks as they fly alongside!

Session Length

This experience is available on Sundays year-round, departing at 10.30am and returning at 12.30pm. Summer weekends and holidays are very busy so please book well in advance to avoid disappointment.

Guidelines:

Wear soft-soled shoes so you can go out on the deck if you choose.

Numbers:

This experience is for 2 adults and up to 4 children. There will be up to 35 people on board. If you would like to organise a large group, please give us a call for a rate.

Weather:

Don’t worry about the weather as it is warm and cosy inside in the winter with views of the mountains capped in snow. In the summer you can take in the crystal clear water and clean air out on the decks!

    Was amazing from the lady that greated us to the driver (Peter) on the cruise to the incrediable food and spectacular views. We are a family of 5 and everyone had such a fun time. Would recommend to everyone we know.

    The captain was very imformative about Lake Taupo & the local tourist sites. Learnt alot from him despite the fact that we're locals! Crew were very welcoming & the brunch meal was excellent! We would definitely take visitors out on this cruise again.
