Agriculture NZ is fascinating! This experience showcases organic produce, a working farm and intimate animal encounters. Hand-feed cute baby lambs, or even milk a cow (optional!). Spend two hours learning about animals, the climate, and how we make the best of our beautiful land.

This experience encompasses a sheep show and farm tour, including a visit to an organic orchard.

The sheep show is world-famous! Presented by an enthusiastic host, you'll be introduced to nineteen breeds of champion rams. See a live Sheep Shearing, an auction, and be amazed by the noisy Huntaway and Strong Eye Dog demonstrations. Around this time you'll have the opportunity to hand milk a cow, and feed cute baby lambs!

Take in the sights of the 350-acre working farm and make friends with a variety of animals. You'll visit the Organic Orchard with the opportunity to taste Kiwifruit Juice and Honey. The farm component is very interesting and relaxing.

As part of your trip, you'll have access to a Shearing Museum, the Woollen Mill, a cafe and plenty of adventure activities - lovely day at your own pace!

This experience is 10 minutes north of Rotorua city.

Session Length

This experience is 2 hours together. The sheep and farm parts run at separate times so you can graze or participate at your leisure! Sheep Shows are daily at 9.30, 11.00am, and 2.30pm. Farm tours are daily at 10.40am, 12.10, 1.30 and 3.40pm. There's plenty of things to do and look at between times.
