Enjoy spectacular views of the Craters and Domes that form Mount Tarawera, these craters lay testament to the violent 1886 eruption that devastated much of our local area including the famous Pink and White Terraces. On the flight to and from the mountain we take in a range of breathtaking scenery.

After departing on our Rotorua City Helipads you will track east heading for the craters and domes of Mount Tarawera, on route we enjoy spectacular views passing our crater Lakes including Lake Rotorua, the Green and Blue Lakes, Lake Okareka and Lake Tarawera. After viewing the 1886 eruption trail that left the craters on Mount Tarawera you will descend to the North to view the Tarawera Falls, a spectacular water fall that descends from the middle of an open Rock face close to the Lake Tarawera outlet. Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve and Rotorua city also make up the views on this spectacular flight.

This scenic flight is approximately 30 minutes in duration.

There are no limitations on our Helicopter flights.

Numbers:

Minimum numbers are 2 maximum numbers 8 in one group although multiple flights can be conducted.

Weather:

Helicopter flights are weather dependant and at the discretion of the pilot on the day, please call us if you have any doubts and we will endeavour to reschedule your flight.
