This once in a lifetime experience will certainly go down as one of your best ever! This learning to fly experince is hands-on all the way! Forty minutes is just right - not too long not too short. By the end, you'll know how to take off, how to hover, how to fly and how to land. With a qualified instructor beside you, navigating a helicopter will certainly go down as one of your best experiences ever!

This experience operates out of Taupo Airport, Taupo

Session Length

This amazing experience is 40 minutes including an informative pre-flight pilots briefing. It operates every day except Christmas Day, a few times a day between 8am and dusk. Bookings are essential.

Guidelines:

Max participant weight is 105kgs.

Numbers:

This is a one on one training experience with a qualified instructor so a maximum of one passenger is required, however we can take multiple bookings and budding pilots can take turns.

Weather:

All flights are weather dependent. If you flight is postponed due to weather, it will be rescheduled for the earliest possible opportunity. If bad weather looks likely, we'll let you know ASAP.

    The 12 month time-frame let me choose a time that suited me re weather etc. I had fogotten my voucher but Red Balloon handled my voucher over the phone so made it nice and easy. The helicopter training flight was fantastic, great instructor and he did warn that it is addictive. Many Thanks
