Ever wanted to experience the absolute rush of actually driving a V8 Holden? Well, here’s your chance. This race day is a V8 fanatic’s dream come true! Under the guidance of your instructor you’ll put pedal to the metal and bring a V8 Holden up to speed at one of New Zealand’s premier race circuits!

Get ready for the sheer exhilaration of driving a fully-modified fire-breathing 5700cc V8 Holden Commodore racecar with a six-speed manual, full roll cage, race seats, race suspension, race brakes, premium Bridgestone race tyres and a full V8 supercar aerodynamic package!

Upon arrival at the racetrack, you’ll complete the required paperwork. We then kit you out into your race suit and safety helmet. Feel your adrenalin rise as you’re strapped into the Holden V8 beast for some demonstration laps with your Holden race experience instructor.

Under the guidance of your racing professional you’ll learn how to corner at speed, shift gears, gauge braking points and more.

Then your racing experience goes up yet another notch to extreme as you are strapped into the driver’s seat for some sensational high-speed laps around the race circuit under the guidance of a three-time National Champion.

During your V8 Holden race experience you’ll receive a two-lap in-car demonstration session, followed by you driving the V8 on the race circuit for a four-lap session! You’ll also receive a personally printed and signed attendance certificate.

This is unlike anything you’ve every experienced. Put yourself in the Holden hot seat – you won’t be able to wipe the smile from your dial for weeks!

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Venue:

Manfeild Park Raceway, Manawatu or Pukekohe Park Raceway, Auckland.

Session Length

This experience is available on selected dates throughout the year. Auckland race days generally operate from 10am – 11.30am and 3.30pm – 5pm. Manawatu race days generally operate from 9am – 11.30am and 3.30pm – 5pm. You will be on the racetrack for approximately 45 minutes.

Guidelines:

You must be 16 years of age or older, hold a current driver’s licence, be confident operating a six-speed manual transmission and clearly display a minimum level of general driving competence. This is not recommended for people with neck or spine injuries, heart conditions or who are pregnant.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one person. You will be one-on-one with your instructor in the racecar. The total number of attendees on any given day may vary.

Spectators:

Spectators are welcome at no additional cost and can watch and take as many photos as they like from the designated safe vantage points.

Weather:

This experience may be affected by the weather. We operate in most conditions however in the case of extreme weather we may reschedule your experience for a later date.

Other Info:

You need to sign an indemnity form prior to participating in this racing experience. Please bring your voucher with you on the day.

    Had an awesome time. Phil was a great instructor and the flying hot laps prior to my time behind the wheel were brilliant. While the weather didn't play ball making the track too slippery to go harder, the sense of excitement when you put the loud pedal down was exhilerating. Definitely recommend.

    I enjoyed the experience of not necessarily going fast as I was not aware of the speed but I loved the feel of the power that was available.

    It was an awesome experience for my 60th birthday. Phil was brilliant with the instruction rounds and gave me confidence to plant the boot when it was my turn to take the wheel. I was just sad it didn't go a bit longer, I was just getting the feel of it when it was time to stop. I would recommend this to everyone who enjoys driving fast.
