Learn about four-wheel driving with this 4WD training adventure near Queenstown. You and a friend will get behind the wheel of a Land Rover for a hands-on four-wheel driving session with your professional instructor. Learn about the capabilities of a 4WD while taking in some breathtaking scenery!

In our fully equipped Land Rover Defenders you'll drive along our own dedicated off-road tracks on Queenstown Hill, accessing extreme terrain before tackling local river crossings. It's your turn to take the wheel and find out what these machines can really do!

You will receive hands-on practical 4WD tuition from your professionally trained instructor, learning valuable off-road driving skills while taking in the rugged scenery of the New Zealand outback.

We offer pick-up from your Queenstown accommodation and comfortable off-road trucks for you to drive in. Get into the driver's seat and see what your 4WD is capable of!

This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.

Session Length

Tours operate daily and go for 4.25 hours. There are two sessions available: 8am - 12.15pm or 1.30pm - 5.45pm. Bookings are essential and are subject to availability.

Guidelines:

You must hold a current driver's license and bring it with you on the day. You should also bring some water and your camera!

Numbers:

The price quoted is for two people. You will be in the 4WD with one guide. Additional passengers are welcome at a cost of $140 per adult and $70 per child. We can also accommodate larger groups - please contact us to inquire.

Spectators:

Not suitable for spectators.

This experience may be affected by the weather. In the case of poor weather conditions we will either change routes or reschedule your experience for a later date.
