'Lampworking' is an ancient art which started in ancient times by melting glass over oil lamps. It's amazing to look at a glass bead and see all the amazing detail, an action frozen in time.

Start with an overview of glass safety and an understanding of the kiln firing process. This is essential for understanding the physical properties of the glass - scientific information that you'll later meld with creativity. The fun begins when you literally fire up an oxy-propane torch to melt down your glass! 'Stringers' (strands of glass) are then used to decorate the wonderful beads.
