Get ready for some adrenalin pumping action! Fixed rungs, pegs, rails, ladders and cables permanently fixed into the rock face – what could be more exciting or terrifying than climbing the side of a cliff using only the rungs attached! Go on, what are you waiting for, try it!
Upon arrival at the destination in Queenstown, you'll be kitted up - make sure that you are wearing comfortable clothing and walking shoes or boots. Your guide will fit you out with a harness, helmet and all other technical equipment before a full safety briefing.
We take a 20 minute walk to our easier cliffs or a shorter stroll to our harder ones in order to warm the body and limber the muscles. The view quickly develops across the gorge, out to the lake and up to Coronet Peak.
The training brief represents your first step. Clip in and quickly and easily learn the karabiner and safety system and then get comfortable hanging out on the rungs. Step up and swing into your first pitch. Don't worry, you are attached to the cliff face at all times and with a small client to guide ratio your safety and pleasure is ensured. Once you're in the rhythm, it's as easy as clipping in, clipping out, clipping in and moving up.
There are 12 routes on the beautiful cliffs. Each has their own challenges and characteristics and range in difficulty, making them suitable for almost everyone from the absolute beginner to the hard core adventure seeker. No experience is needed, choose your routes and explore your abilities.
This experience voucher is valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
